The City of Saint-Constant has mandated the firm Parallèle 54 to provide professional services for the design of plans and specifications for the Wilfrid-Lamarche Street redevelopment. The redevelopment aimed to accommodate a building between Wilfrid-Lamarche Street and Sainte-Catherine Street. The services included, but were not limited to:
- Design and redevelopment of the stormwater drainage system;
- Design of the road structure;
- Design of a new decorative LED urban lighting system;
- Design of curbs and sidewalks;
- Design and redevelopment of the bike path and intersections at Sainte-Catherine Street;
- Improvement of the intersections at the parking lot and arena access points, as well as at the intersections with Sainte-Catherine Street.
02 / particularities
The project had to correspond in every respect with the new stormwater management methods required by the MELCCFP (Design Code for a stormwater management system eligible for a declaration of conformity) and take into account the nature and capacity of the existing networks which guided and dictated the guidelines for the replacement of underground infrastructure associated with the stormwater network.
03 / complexities
The City wanted to replace the drainage system. Therefore, the entire management of stormwater, both in terms of quantity and quality, was part of the mandate.

- Design and preparation of plans and specifications;
- Project budget estimation;
- Technical assistance during the tendering process and throughout the project with building professionals;
- Partial supervision of electrical work;
- Modification of plans and specifications when required;
- Production of final drawings.
