01 / description

The Anne-Courtemanche Birthing Centre offers young families a welcoming, warm, intimate, and safe environment. Each year, 400 women receive care from a midwife throughout their pregnancy, from the first hours of their baby’s life to the first six weeks postpartum. The project aimed to create the first centre of its kind in East Montreal. The project was carried out using a design-build approach under the direction of Groupe Mach. P54 collaborated on the structural aspects of the building. The building’s frame consists of a two-story wood structure.
